Fairyland

For Daisy's birthday we went to Oakland's Fairyland.  It was a lot of fun, especially for the kids.  Imagine a bunch of themed playgrounds with a few mechanical rides.  We had a great afternoon.



She loved Jack and Jill's hill.



I'll refrain from making a joke about the DNC.  Go to a zoo and make one about the GOP.

Climbed to the crow's nest all by herself.  It took a lot of work because she wanted to wait till all the other kids were out of her way.

Oh, Fudge!!!

At work we dedicated a week to resolving outstanding issues (fixes) and we cast votes for who we thought would close the most fixes.  I voted for the winner!  My prize was a few pieces of delicious fudge!  I took my winnings home and used them as a bribe to get my kids to sit for family pictures.

Me: Ok kids, let's take some pictures!
Kids: No thanks.  We'd rather play with our blocks.
Me: I guess Mom and I will have to eat this fudge by ourselves.
Kids: Let's take some pictures!
