Siggraph 15

I went to LA this summer to speak at a computer graphics conference called SIGGRAPH.  I spoke with two others on my work on Inside Out.  It was a pretty short trip.

While waiting for my flight (which changed gates like three times and was delayed twice) there was a man waiting for his flight.  He had just adopted this cute little dog.

Dinner was at local mexican restaurant.  It was nice.  The next day my brother happened to be in town.  It was a weird coincidence.  What are the odds that we'd both be in LA on the same day?  It was fortunate though because we were able to hang out and go to church together.

Here's my cutie nephew, Cheese.

Here are the presenters.  It went really well!

Here's another co-worker that presented right after us.  He did great!  Yes, he's in a chef outfit.  He treated his presentation like a cooking show.  Very creative!  The next day I flew home.  Super short trip, but very satisfactory.

Creche 2015

One of our favorite traditions was attending a local Creche exhibit (nativity scenes).  All throughout the chapel were creches from around the world!  While pictures of those aren't allowed, they have a children's room that the kids loved (a bit more) than the actual exhibit.

We make crafts.

Momma is pretty close to delivering little Snow.

They have a marionette show of the nativity story.  The kids like that too.

And then dress up time!

Canada Part 4

Nearing the end of our stay at the cabin, we wanted to roast some marshmallows.  So Grandpa and I wrestled with some wet wood (remember the rain?).

Daisy played in the sandbox and built a little city.  Here it is before the Fish and Tiny attacked.

While playing frisbee, we occasionally had some misfires and we had to send Fish over the fence to fetch the frisbee.

Here's my beauty.  She is wonderful.

Here's Puddin' working on a toasty marshmallow.

We eventually got a decent fire going.

We were going to be flying out of Glacier Airport.  We've cleaned things up at the cabin and started working our way south.

Grandma remembers a summer she visited Glacier and wanted to stop at a lodge she remembered from her trip.  We're pretty sure we found it.  Look at that line of cars!  Parking was crazy.

We hung out in the lobby while we waited for our lunch reservation.

Lunch was very nice (thank you Grandpa!).  The kids ate like they always do (hardly anything), but I enjoyed it.

After lunch we headed down from the lodge to the lake to do more impromptu swimming.  Let this be a lesson, you never know when a chance to get wet will present itself and the kids never want to pass on that chance.  We even went swimming again when we got to our hotel that night.  These kids love water.

Mom took the hit this time.  I got to stay dry while I took pictures.

It was really nice beach, with more crazy cold water.  Glacier, remember?

Daisy started building right away.

Fish chucked rocks the whole time.  Total boy.
